FAQ:

How old do I need to be to enter the Australasian Open 2019?

Competitors must be at least 13 years old at the time of entry.
Please note: A parent or guardian may be required to travel to the grand final event with any player under 18 years of age

Can I enter in both Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments?

Yes, you certainly can!

I was knocked out of the first qualifier. Can I still enter in the second?

You can enter once in each qualifier provided you haven’t already qualified for the grand final event at Supanova Melbourne. For example, if you qualify for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate final event at Supanova via Qualifier 1, you cannot enter in Qualifier 2. However, you are still able to enter in the Splatoon 2 qualifiers.

I don’t have a team for Splatoon 2, can I still enter the Splatoon 2 Australasian Open 2019?

Yes, simply register as a solo player and apply to join any of the "OPEN" teams on the ESL Play page by clicking the team and clicking "Apply". You will be assigned a final team the day before the qualifier.

For the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Australasian Open, can I play in qualifiers for other regions?

Registering for a region in which you do not live is strictly prohibited. If a player is found registering in the wrong region, they may be removed from that region’s qualifier.

What do I do if I need help on the day of an online qualifier?

Competitors can join the ESL Discord here for support during or before the qualifiers.
